Compact White Bathroom Retile in Carson

Compact white-tiled bathroom with wall-hung toilet, wood vanity top, and round backlit mirror in a Carson home

About This Project

A full bathroom retile in a Carson ranch home, replacing the original 1970s tile with clean white rectangular wall tile and matching floor tile. The bathroom was updated with a wall-hung toilet and a floating vanity with a wood countertop — our scope was the tile work only, coordinated with the plumber and vanity installer.

White tile in a small bathroom requires careful grout joint consistency. Any variation in joint width is highly visible against a white background. We used a 1/8 inch spacer throughout and checked alignment with a laser level every four rows. The wall tile runs in a horizontal stacked pattern, and the floor tile runs perpendicular to the longest wall to make the room feel wider.
