Who We Are

Tile Work Done by the People Who Planned It

Old Torrance Tile Installer is a hands-on installation crew based at 1001 W Carson St in Torrance. We take on residential and commercial tile work across Old Torrance, Harbor Gateway, and Carson — and we stay within that area by choice. Tighter geography means faster response times and a crew that actually knows the local housing stock.

We do not hand your project off to a subcontractor. The people who come to your home to measure and plan are the same people who set your tile. That consistency shows in the finished work, and it means there is no one to point fingers at if something is off.

How We Work

The Things We Care About

Layout First

Before we set a single tile, we dry-lay the pattern on the floor and check the sight lines from every entry point. A tile layout that looks good in isolation can look wrong from the doorway. We catch that before the thinset goes down.

Substrate Integrity

Tile is only as good as what it sits on. We check for flex, high spots, and moisture before we decide what prep is needed. Sometimes that means floating a skim coat. Sometimes it means recommending a backer board replacement. We tell you what we find.

Clean Jobsite

Tile work generates dust and debris. We contain it, clean it, and haul it away before we leave each day. Your home is a workspace temporarily — we treat it that way.

Straight Talk

If we find something that changes the scope — a cracked joist, a wet spot behind the wall, a tile that will not match — we stop and call you before we proceed. No surprises on the final invoice.

Our Area

Why We Stay Local

Old Torrance has a specific character. The homes near Torrance Blvd and Cabrillo Ave are mostly early-to-mid 20th century construction with original subfloors that require careful evaluation. Harbor Gateway's mix of residential and light commercial means we work in both residential kitchens and storefront lobbies within the same week. Carson's 1960s and 70s tracts have slab foundations and outdated original tile that is well past its service life — replacement and modernization work is a significant part of what we do there.

We know these neighborhoods because we work in them regularly. That local knowledge is not marketing — it shows up in how we plan a job and what we tell you to expect.
